How it hits your target size
Set a target size in KB and the tool binary-searches JPEG quality to land under it. If the target is very small, it also steps the resolution down to get as close as possible, and tells you if it can't quite reach it. Common values like 100KB, 200KB, 500KB and 1MB are one-tap presets, and the result shows the final size, quality and dimensions.
When it's useful
Great when a government, school, job or forum site limits uploads to something like 'under 200KB,' or when fitting ID photos, scanned documents or profile pictures to a cap.
